The Pasig City local government is continuously assessing the state and structural integrity of the city's infrastructure after it felt the effects of the 6.3-magnitude earthquake that hit Calatagan, Batangas early Thursday morning, June 15.
The city's Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office recorded an Intensity III earthquake in the city, said Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto on his social media page. A rapid assessment of the city hall infrastructure was conducted by the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office .The city hall and its surrounding areas were cleared for re-entry at around 12 noon.The local government has tapped barangays and schools to urgently inform and report any signs of damage such as visible cracks, door or window misalignment, shattered glass, and water pipe leaks to the authorities.
According to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology , the 6.3-magnitude earthquake occurred at around 10:19 a.m. in Calatagn, Batangas.
