Ubisoft has once again delayed the release of Assassin's Creed Shadows, pushing the open-world stealth game to March 20, 2025. Ubisoft cites the need for additional time to implement fan feedback and ensure a high-quality experience.

Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been delayed again. The open-world stealth game was set to arrive in February following its initial delay in September 2024, but now it won’t launch until March 20. Assassin’s Creed Shadows was formally announced in May 2024, and was intended to arrive last year in November. The next entry in Ubisoft ’s popular and long-running series, Shadows takes the Assassin’s Creed formula to Japan , a location fans have wanted for years.

On January 9, Ubisoft announced Shadows would now release on March 20, 2025. In a statement posted online, Ubisoft says that it believes these “few additional weeks” are necessary to implement fan feedback and “ensure an even more ambitious and engaging day-one experience.” “We remain committed to delivering a high-quality, immersive experience—fostered by ongoing dialogue between our players and development teams,” said Ubisoft.
