Asian economies can't rely on the United States as their primary export market forever, according to Malaysian Deputy Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Liew Chin Tong. Liew spoke at the Asean Economic Opinion Leaders Conference: Outlook for 2025, acknowledging the global poly-crisis stemming from the Covid-19 pandemic, geopolitical tensions, and financial instability. He pointed out the shift from a single global supply chain towards more regionalized and resilient networks.
