to get the scoop on the series, Gwen Runck, and her trip to the 1990s., either just on your own or when you were preparing for this role?until I got the audition, and I thought, "I have to do my research.” I immediately fell in love with it, and I kept watching, and I hadn't even gotten the role yet. When I finally got the role, I’d watched two seasons. Now I've seen the whole thing and I'm so happy to be a part of it.Gwen is very confident.
TV: Gwen is always full of advice for Leia. Do you feel like that's a role that you take on in your life too, giving advice to friends when they need it?Actually, I've never thought about that, and I totally think that I am. My friends go to me for advice a lot, also because I'm really good at keeping secrets. I don't tell other people other people's business, I guess, because it's not mine to share.
TV: Gwen lives in Donna's old house — do you feel like she's sort of the spiritual Donna successor in the show?When I was auditioning I had the same sort of question, but then I talked to the writers and what they said is that there's no real direct correlation between the new generation and the previous generation. So I didn't want to tap into any specific character when I was playing Gwen, because I just wanted her to be authentic and new and different.
