This year’s AMM Retreat is the first gathering of foreign ministers and heads of delegations under Indonesia’s Asean Chairmanship with the theme,"Asean Matters: Epicentrum of Growth”. In a statement, Indonesia's Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said the Asean Coordinating Council meeting and AMM Retreat will discuss topics related to regional and international issues, including Myanmar.

Indonesia has also invited ‘non-political’ representative from Myanmar to take part in the meetings, she added. Asean has banned leaders of Myanmar from participating in its top-level meetings to pressure them to comply with the peace plan, known as Five-Point Consensus, to help resolve their ongoing internal conflicts. - Bernama
