ASEAN dan China bersetuju untuk mengadakan satu lagi eksesais maritim bagi memupuk perdamaian di rantau ini. Menteri Pertahanan Malaysia Mohamad Sabu berkata kesemua 10 negara anggota Asean dan China pada prinsip bersama telah bersetuju untuk mengambil bahagian dalam latihan tentera laut pelbagai hala yang kedua itu.
