As one-half of JaDine, Nadine Lustre admits not liking ‘competition’ with KathNiel, LizQuen

Despite being one-half of the popular JaDine loveteam, Nadine Lustre revealed that she wasn’t fond of the “competition” aspect with other popular love teams, such as that of KathNiel and LizQuen back then. | HMallorcaINQ

“I didn’t like that there was a competing aspect to it. Parang sa akin back then, hindi ko nagegets bakit may ganoon so I was more of just doing what I have to do. Nafe-feel ko lang talaga na pinagco-compete kami ng mga tao pero hindi ko siya inisip,” she said in response.

“Ayoko [ng competition sa amin]. Parang I was really just doing my own thing. Hindi ko rin gets bakit kailangan may competition. Even until now, nakikita ko siya sa ibang loveteams [ngayon],” she said. During the interview, Lustre was also asked if she has a hard time letting go of “past hurts” to which she replied, “yes and no.” Seconds after, she immediately laughed before changing her answer to “yes.”“Sige na nga, yes na. Kapag ako, kunwari, may friend ako na nag-betray ako, nahuhurt talaga ako kasi ‘yung treatment sa tao, parang binigay ko lahat sa iyo,” she said, although she didn’t disclose any moments in her life where she felt betrayed.

“Kasi walang influence ng ibang tao. Si Chris ang anchor ko labas ng showbiz which is something that I need. Pag nasa showbiz ka kasi, sometimes it gets too loud. It gets too noisy. Siya ‘yung [humahatak] sa akin when it gets too crazy,” she added.
