After loss to Atlanta Braves, Oakland A’s start nine-game road trip Friday in Miami
OAKLAND – The Oakland A’s got on a flight to South Florida late Wednesday afternoon, eager, perhaps, to land in some much warmer climes and turn the page on another difficult month during what’s so far been a historically awful 2023 season.
By beating the National League East-leading Braves 7-2 on Monday and 2-1 on Tuesday, the A’s earned what was just their second series victory of the year, leading them to feel like there might be some brighter days ahead. “I think the type of baseball we’ve played over the last 10-12 games, we’ve been in most games, had an opportunity to win these games. If we continue in that direction, there’s more success ahead.”
While the A’s pitching staff has made some strides, their offense has regressed, and historically so.
