Army officers ranked Lt Muda and above empowered to enforce MCO

Army officers will be empowered under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act to assist the police in enforcing the Covid-19 movement-control order. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 21, 2020.

ARMY officers ranked Leftenan Muda and above have been designated as authorised officers to carry out and enforce the Covid-19 movement-control order, said Dr Adham Baba today. The health minister said in a statement that the authorisation was made in accordance with the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act.
