IPOH: A family of three lost RM39,500 worth of belongings and money to machete-wielding robbers at their house in Hutan Melintang.

Hilir Perak OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Adnan Basri said the incident occurred at about 4.15am on Monday ."The son, who is self-employed, was praying in his bedroom when five men, believed to be foreigners, burst in."The burglar then threatened him with the machete at his neck and tied his hands together before taking him to the bedroom of his parents, who were asleep at the time.

ACP Ahmad Adnan said the burglars tied up the father's hands and ransacked the house before leaving with jewellery, mobile phones, handbags, two motorcycles and cash. "The burglars also threatened to kill the victims if they lodged a police report," he said, adding that all three victims did not suffer serious injuries."They were of moderate height, skinny and had tanned skin," he added.

ACP Ahmad Adnan said the police forensics and K9 units were sent to the house and found fingerprints and some items belonging to the suspects."Those with information are to come forward to investigating officer Insp Nurul Fa'eqa Razak at 017-441 5342 or 05-629 9222," he added.Raw water sources, operations at satisfactory level in most states, says SPAN
