UPDATE: sonomasheriff identifies suspect in MonteRio shooting
RIO NIDO, Sonoma County — A person was shot to death in the Sonoma County community of Monte Rio Tuesday morning, and the suspect search prompted a shelter-in-place alert, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office identified the suspect as Francisco Gonzalez, saying he was “armed and dangerous” and carrying a rifle. Gonzalez and the victim are related, a Sonoma County Sheriff’s spokesman told KPIX 5.
