Record broken! We've reached 19 days in a row with temperatures that reached or exceeded 110°. MORE weather:

reached 110 degrees for the 19th consecutive day, breaking the previous record of 18 set in 1974.

The temperature will waver between 114 and 117 degrees through Friday. With temperatures continuing so far above average, it's likely more records will be tied or broken. Heat-related illness will be a top threat all week in the Valley, and around the state. AnHumidity will still be heightened, creating sticky conditions for Phoenix. Monday will be the most humid in Phoenix, but the stickiness lingers all week long.

While rain chances are generally low in Phoenix, there's a better chance for scattered showers in higher elevation areas north, east and south of the Valley on Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday evening the Valley will have an isolated chance for a shower or storm to sprout from outflow winds and pop up over Phoenix. Although rain is not likely, a dust storm or some period of gusty outflow winds will be possible in the Valley.

Phoenix's streak of consecutive days at 110 degrees isn't looking to end at 19 days, and will likely continue through all of next week. Thursday is projected to be the hottest day at around 117 degrees. Next weekend the monsoon pattern may position slightly more favorable for Phoenix. While too soon for certainty, Sunday evening has around a 20% chance for showers or storms.
