No cellular networks? No problem! 👍 Apple TechNave
The next-generation Apple Watch is pretty much very near to us. Before it gets presented, a new report has arrived claiming a Pro variant of the smartwatch line could offer satellite connectivity. If this became true, it would probably be a key highlight of the Apple Watch Series 8.
The information shared by Mark Gurman at Bloomberg reveals that the company has been planning to add satellite connectivity to its smartwatch line. The feature would be helpful in scenarios where Wi-Fi and cellular networks aren't available. This could get used for"reporting major incidents in places without cellular service", and it's something that an outdoor lover would need.
Talking about"outdoor", rumours are pointing toward the Apple Watch 8 Pro being a rugged model. It could take on the likes of Garmin smartwatches for runners and hikers. Since the Apple event has been confirmed to go live on 8 September, we should be able to find out about it soon. What do you think about having satellite connectivity on the new Apple Watch?
