Apple has officially unveiled the schedule for this year's Worldwide Developers Conference , which will be taking place from 10 to 14 June. As always, the event will start with a Keynote address on the first day to kick things off, which will be livestreamed on 11 June at 1 AM Malaysian time.
The Keynote will see the tech giant announce new features for its ecosystem in the form of upcoming updates for iOS, macOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and WatchOS. According to a Bloomberg report, the Cupertino firm will apparently be focusing on introducing AI-related features into its software, similar to what we've seen from Microsoft and Google.
Rumoured to be called Project Greymatter, the company is expected to release a set of AI tools into its core apps such as Safari, Photos, and Notes. It's also speculated to introduce AI-generated notification summaries, a more conversational voice for Siri, and even AI-generated emojis. The report states that less-intensive tasks will be done on-device while AI-related features that require a lot of power will be handled via the cloud. As for whether or not it will implement a chatbot into its ecosystem, Bloomberg claims that Apple has already sealed a deal with OpenAI but is keeping Google's Gemini as an option. In any case, we expect the new features that will be announced to roll out later in the fall, if the firm follows its usual schedule.
