In a response to a question posed by The Verge, Apple representative Starlayne Meza confirmed that the company has no plans to produce a 27-inch iMac featuring its first-party silicon. Instead, those seeking a larger display are encouraged to pair their Mac devices to its 27-inch Studio Display which debuted last year.Of course, this isn't the best solution, as it involves existing users forking out additional funds to purchase a separate monitor.
Another takeaway from Apple's statement is that there might not be any new iMac models featuring the more powerful Max or Ultra versions of its first-party silicon in the future. This is bad news for those who've been holding out for a high-performance Apple AIO, as the only few alternatives include going with the M3-equipped 24-inch iMac or switching over to the Mac Studio.
