M1 and M2 are milestones of the development cycles and do not refer to M1 and M2 chipsets. The pause in developing next iteration of iOS 18 and macOS 15 is expected to last only a few days. It is a good news as Apple is prioritizing fixing bugs and issues. The report says that the delay will not likely affect the release schedule of the iOS 18 and macOS 18.Apple’s latest iOS 17.1.
