Apple has introduced a new firmware update for the Beats Studio Pro, allowing it to benefit from its audio sharing feature. Basically, the update now allows
users to stream audio through two pairs of wireless headphones simultaneously from an iPhone or iPad.
Audio sharing was introduced to the Beats line shortly after its 2019 launch, with many being equipped with either W1 or H1 chips. It's also a feature that can be found in Apple headphones as well. However, the Beats Studio Pro launched last year with a different chip that enables compatibility for both Apple and Android devices.For iPhone and iPad users, activating audio sharing can be done via AirPlay when a pair of Beats headphones in pairing mode is held close to the device.
By making the feature available, it can be argued that the Beats Studio Pro aligns more closely with Apple’s higher-end AirPods Max, at least in terms of functionality. Take note that Apple does have an online support guide for both AirPods and Beats headphones to help users utilise audio sharing.
