the ability to edit sent However, it seems like Apple is still finding the right formula for that particular feature, with the, iOS 16 beta 4 has reduced the time period when unsending an iMessage. Previously, users had 15 minutes of leeway, but now it has been reduced to only 2 minutes.
Besides that, a 5-time cap limit to editing sent iMessages has also been introduced, alongside an edit log viewable by both the sender and the recipient. Once you’ve hit the cap limit of edits, the ‘edit’ option will no longer appear when you long-press the iMessage. Well, sounds like a pretty logical implementation to the feature. Let’s see if it will remain the same when the official version of iOS 16 is released in another two months.
