This early in the season, it is hard to discern how good Oregon is and how much weight to give to BYU’s past wins against Baylor and South Florida.BYU stayed inside the top 20, checking in at No. 19, in the newest AP Poll. Oregon jumped to No. 15.The Utes were at No. 13 after an opening loss to Florida. They dropped to a spot after a Week 2 win over Southern Utah, but find themselves comfortably in the top 15 heading into conference play.
Other notables in the AP Poll include Baylor at No. 17. The Bears staying inside the top 25 is a priority for the Cougars’ resume going forward, after being Baylor in double-overtime last week. Arkansas, BYU’s Week 7 opponent, stayed at No. 10. That is the Cougars’ only remaining game against a ranked opponent as of this week.
