KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has claimed that he has the support of more than 120 MPs in his bid to become prime minister and to form the next government.

“It’s more than 120. But because the Yang di-Pertuan Agong will summon the heads of parties, therefore it is rational for us to be patient and give the King space to decide, ” he told a press conference at the Le Meridien Hotel here Tuesday .

“Therefore, today is not about winning or losing, but it’s for us to uphold a developed and fair country to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic and also spur economic development, ” he said.News portal Malaysiakini reported that leaders of parties like the DAP and MIC have already received invitations to Istana Negara.
