Anwar’s advisory committee to touch on revenue, operating cost issues
The advisory committee to Finance Minister Anwar Ibrahim will recommend methods for him to address matters related to government-linked companies, national debt, and good governance. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, February 12, 2023.
In a statement today, committee chairman Mohd Hassan Marican said members will advise the finance minister on matters related to subsidies, including reviewing and restructuring existing subsidies, and the provision of more holistic social protection. “The advisory committee reports directly to the finance minister and shall meet as frequently as possible depending on requirements,” he said.
