PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim insists that there is no problem with the planned transition of power.
This is despite the admission by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad that he will stay on for not more than three years - which is longer than the two years that was agreed by Pakatan Harapan. "The transition of power is not an issue, period. There is no problem between both of us. What is important is that we agree that what is promised will be fulfilled," he said to reporters here on Monday .
When asked if he was okay to wait longer than the agreed two years, Anwar said he would clarify this with Dr Mahathir. "That's only conjectures," he said, commenting on Dr Mahathir's remarks that he would stay on as premier for three years. Tags / Keywords:
