PETALING JAYA: PKR has reiterated its rejection of the gutter politics levelled against its deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, who has been implicated in a sex video scandal.
Its president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in condemning the “scurrilous attack” on the Economic Affairs Minister, said the country needed to focus on socioeconomic affairs rather than being dragged into a “dishonourable arena”.
While Haziq made a confession in cyberspace that it was him and Azmin in the video, the latter slammed the allegation as a nefarious plot to end his political career.“PKR reiterates its commitment in rejecting the disgusting gutter politics that we now witness. This country needs to focus on economic and social issues and not be dragged into this dishonourable arena.
“The only thing we considered was that this was a scurrilous attack which we condemn notwithstanding the source,” he said, adding that Azmin is still PKR deputy president.
