KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim broke his fast with media practitioners and local artistes at Dewan Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre (WTC), today (April 11).

The Prime Minister, who arrived at 6.47pm, wearing a light blue baju Melayu, was accompanied by Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil and his deputy, Teo Nie Ching.About 1,000 people, including heads of media agencies, local and international journalists and cameramen, as well as artistes and 30 orphans from Rumah Kasih Ibu, Ampang attended the event.

Among those present were Bernama chief executive officer Roslan Ariffin, NSTP group managing editor Datuk Ahmad Zaini Kamaruzzaman and Media Prima Berhad group chairman Datuk Seri Dr Syed Hussian Aljunid. The local celebrities who attended included versatile artiste Ifa Raziah, actor and host Datuk AC Mizal as well as radio presenter and singer Dina Nadzir and film director Datuk Suhaimi Baba.

The Prime Minister also performed Maghrib prayers in congregation with the guests at the event. - Bernama
