by the NBA after"using offensive or derogatory language on social media," the league announced Tuesday. Edwards came under fire Sept. 11, when he posted a video on Instagram in which he used a homophobic slur. Edwards quickly deleted the video. He later apologized for using "unacceptable" language. Edwards said it was"immature, hurtful and disrespectful" to use that word.
What I said was immature, hurtful, and disrespectful, and I’m incredibly sorry. It’s unacceptable for me or anyone to use that language in such a hurtful way, there’s no excuse for it, at all. I was raised better than that!
