Anrich Nortje's Proteas contract omission explained: 'We respect his decision'
Cricket South Africa's director of cricket, Enoch Nkwe, said Anrich Nortje isn't lost to Test and ODI cricket, but his decision not to take up a national contract is informed by his need to focus on T20 cricket.
Nortje last played international cricket in September last year, from where he suffered an injury that ruled him out of the World Cup and the entire South African summer. The 30-year-old pacer from Kariega, who has played 19 Tests, 22 ODIs and 31 T20s, has featured in three CSA Provincial T20 games for the Warriors this season.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
