THE cloud clusters spotted outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) have turned into a Low Pressure Area (LPA) that will likely enter the country anytime today, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.
Weather specialist Obet Badrina said the LPA, once inside PAR, will not have immediate effect.'But there is a greater chance that this will escalate into a tropical depression in two to three days,' he told The Manila Times.He said the southwest monsoon will continue to affect the country.
Zambales, Bataan and Occidental Mindoro may have floods or landslides due to scattered to widespread rain.The same weather system is affecting Metro Manila, CALABARZON , Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of MIMAROPA , the rest of Central Luzon, and Western Visayas where overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may prevail.The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated downpour or thunderstorms.
