SHAH ALAM: A senior police officer who was charged with four counts of graft involving RM1.35mil in Kuala Lumpur has been slapped with yet another charge at the Shah Alam Sessions Court.
In the latest charge, ASP Gan Chee Liang allegedly solicited RM1.
5mil in return for settling a drug case under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 involving one “Victor Goh” at a police lock-up in Shah Alam on March 10, 2017.The charge under Section 16 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 provides for a jail term up to 20 years, a fine not less than five times the amount of the bribe or RM10,000, whichever is higher, if found guilty.
