KOTA KINABALU: Another elephant has been found dead in Sabah.
Sabah Wildlife Department director Augustine Tuuga said the adult female was discovered dead by Malangkin Estate workers at about 5.50am Saturday .“We do not have other details of the elephant and will have to wait for the post mortem to be completed, ” he said.
On Sept 25, a bull elephant was found dead with its body riddled with more than 70 bullet wounds and its two tusks missing at Sungai Udin, Tawau.Then, an elephant carcass was discovered floating in Ulu Sungai Kinabatangan on Nov 3 and it is believed to have died at the hands of poachers.
