Another celeb boxing match: In a somewhat welcome development, it was revealed on Instagram by Stilo Magolide that he and Big Zulu would be entering the ring. Will you be watching?
One of the more interesting developments in the world of entertainment is the surge in boxing matches between celebrities, with the two latest contenders being musician Big Zulu and rapper Stilo Magolide . Back in the day, all an industry beef needed was an often poorly constructed diss track and a Twitter war that would go back and forth for months, sometimes even years, until finally one rival chose to concede.
The music industry beefs seem to have a long line of developments though. When we look at the beef between late US rappers, Tupac Shakur and Notorious B. I. G, we see both the extremities that these fights had, and the mediocrity that has plagued the entertainment industry in recent years, with musicians doing everything but cooking it up in the studio.
On 23 April, Big Zulu took on Dings and in a clear first-round knockout, Big Zulu took the win. However, it was later revealed by Dings that he felt the fight might have been fixed, as he didn’t have enough time to warm up. “I never got a chance to warm up and I was told 10 minutes before the match that I was up next,” he said.
