Animal welfare groups hold demo to protest dog shooting incident in Ipoh

IPOH: Several animal welfare groups held a peaceful demonstration to protest the shooting and killing of a dog by the Ipoh City Council.

The group from Noah's Ark Ipoh, The Stray Diary , Ipoh Mutts and Mittens and Humane Society Ipoh, held up banners and flowers to protest the action by the authorities.

Noah's Ark president Peggy Vong said the council must come up with a better solution to handle stray animals."This has happened before and every time we bring it up, the council will cover up the issue."We hope the council will consider having a dialogue with us to find the best solution in handling strays in the city. We are totally appalled by their action," she added.
