Most of the time, when you watch food reviews by influencers, you’ll notice how the influencers tend to shove their cameras in the faces of the staff working
at the eatery.
And while some of these influencers are actually hired by the eatery owner and have permission to record the staff, many others actually do this in their own volition for the sake of content. A Malaysian server recently took to the SecretsMy Twitter page to anonymously call out influencers for recording servers without their permission, for food and drink content.
“I’m scrolling through TikTok and suddenly my face shows up, like please ask for consent before taking a server’s picture or video,” they added.It really is common courtesy to ask someone for their consent before you record them for any purposes.
