Sam Kerr, Caitlin Foord and Mary Fowler are among 16 players in the mix to be named The Best FIFA Women’s Player, with Mackenzie Arnold up for the best women’s goalkeeper award and Gustavsson, the team’s Swedish mentor, one of five in line for the best women’s coach.Postecoglou, meanwhile, is in esteemed company alongside Manchester City’s treble-winning boss Pep Guardiola, Inter Milan’s Simone Inzaghi, former Napoli manager Luciano Spaletti, and Barcelona’s Xavi for the best men’s coach gong.
The 58-year-old, who has made a terrific start to his new challenge with Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, has earned it for his achievements last season with Celtic, guiding them to wins in the Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup.
