England landed a late drop goal to end Ireland's Grand Slam hopes
Ireland's dreams of a second Grand Slam disappeared at the hands of England, as Andy Farrell also played down his half-time bickering with counterpart Steve Borthwick. However, his side are still in pole position to win successive Six Nations crowns."Ireland are four points ahead of England, who go to France on Saturday, with Farrell's charges facing Scotland at Lansdowne Road earlier the same day."I thought we fought back unbelievably well against the run of play sometimes.
"But, again, to cut a long story short, I thought England deserved it with the pressure that they had and created. So congratulations to them." Farrell smiled: "I just said, 'How are you doing, Steve? Nice to see you again, I've not spoke to you for a long time.' All good." Asked how he will lift his players to claim the title, Farrell replied: "Well, you talk about the Grand Slam stuff, well every game matters."Today was obviously one of those games that we wanted to win but that's life. You dust yourself down. We've been very good at winning and moving on to the next one.
