Former England and Manchester United footballer Andy Cole opened up about his health on the Late Late Show with Patrick Kielty."Six years ago, I had a kidney transplant, and it came out of the blue," Cole said."It rocked my world, you know.
"Mentally, it's difficult, getting used to the medication as well is really, really tough. There's good days and bad days. There's days when I can't get out of bed." Cole suffered kidney failure after picking up a virus while on a trip to Vietnam as an ambassador for Manchester United."Getting up was a chore, walking was a chore. I had gone up to something like 17 or 18 stone, with all the water retention I was holding. It was a difficult time.""Knowing I play football, I've been fit all my life and then all of a sudden, a random illness comes around which has changed my whole world.
Viewers showed their appreciation for Cole who was a popular figure in his playing days, scoring 121 goals for United."Andy Cole one of the most underappreciated strikers in the Premier League, absolute baller!!", another viewer added.
