to pass legislation and have faced difficulty getting them on board. It's a problem that Yang doesn't see changing in the future unless Democrats alter their messaging and campaigning to appeal to voters in Iowa, Ohio and other battleground states.
Andrew Yang, a former presidential candidate, is urging Democrats to alter their messaging to appeal to voters in states that are turning red because increasing voters is the only way they'll win a significant majority in Congress. Yang speaks during a press conference on June 21 in the Bensonhurst neighborhood of the Brooklyn borough in New York City.
Giving up on those states because they're less amicable to Democratic candidates, Yang wrote, sends a"terrible message."
