The Broncos’ depth at tight end took a hit after the team traded Noah Fant in a package for quarterback Russell Wilson. But they’ll be replacing him with one of college football’s best if Mel Kiper Jr.’s latest mock draft comes true.
“McBride is more advanced as a pass-catcher than Dulcich, which is what the Broncos need with new quarterback Russell Wilson,” Kiper writes. “With Noah Fant off to Seattle, there are targets available. McBride had 90 catches for 1,121 yards last season; he could stretch the seams in Denver.”in the 2022 draft. McBride was also a unanimous All-American in his senior year and won the John Mackey Award for the nation’s most outstanding tight end.
Denver has eight picks in the draft with the 64th overall selection as its highest. The Broncos traded their first- and second-round picks to the Seahawks as part of the Wilson trade.
