AndJustLikeThat... Aidan Shaw is back.
For a moment there, it looked like Aidan and Carrie would never reconcile. After shooting out her “Hey Stranger” e-mail in, Carrie begins episode seven by opening her laptop to find that Aidan has not only responded, but wants to meet for dinner. On Valentine's Day, no less. But when Carrie arrives to the restaurant, she is greeted by, well, nobody.
Believable or not, Carrie and Aidan eventually end up at the same dinner table, and then outside Carrie's apartment. At first, the ex-lovers fell back into their old rhythm without skipping a beat. But once they're standing outside Carrie's brownstone, old wounds from their broken engagement begin to open for Aidan, causing him to have second thoughts.
“I think that the end of the episode sets us up for more to come,” Lawson says. “It's very tenuous, but at the moment just happy to see each other and happy to have found each other at the same moment.”accompanied by Giuseppe, a brand new Hot Fella bakery employee with a very large baguette in his pants. This results in a a wonderfully bizarre cameo fromherself, basking in the glow of Giuseppe's baked goods. “Drew Barrymore is literally on a different planet,” says Murphy.
