The powers of the Juku Juku no Mi have been barely explored in the series, but have the potential to be absolutely deadly.
In the world of One Piece, many people got unique abilities by eating the mysterious Devil Fruits. While these powers come at the cost of weakness to seawater, they can greatly enhance combat capabilities, to the point that the majority of the strongest fighters in the series have eaten a Devil Fruit.
The power of the Juku Juku no Mi is actually incredibly dangerous. In a battle, she could simply touch her opponents once and make them grow old instantly until they die of old age. Shinobu clarifies that the aging process will not stop once triggered, so killing her would not save the victim. If she used this power on Kaido, the fearsome Yonko would have been completely powerless. Not even Kaido's most powerful technique in One Piece and legendary resilience can beat the flow of time.
It should be said, however, that there is no guarantee that Shinobu's powers would have worked on Kaido. People possessing a strong Haki can resist the effects of Devil Fruit powers, as shown when Kaido and Big Mom could not be moved by the powers of Trafalgar Law's Ope Ope no Mi. However, it is still strange that the kunoichi did not even try this, considering how much suffering Kaido brought to her land and her people.
