The 2024 An Post Irish Book Awards celebrated notable achievements in literature, with Sally Rooney, Graham Norton, Johnny Sexton, Jane Casey and Paul Howard among the winners. The awards also recognized works such as Johnny Sexton and Peter O'Reilly's 'Obsessed: The Autobiography' and Jane Casey's 'Someone Now' as Sports Book of the Year and Non-Fiction Book of the Year respectively.

Sally Rooney , Graham Norton , Johnny Sexton , Jane Casey and Paul Howard also among winners at this year’s An Post Irish Book Awards said, admiring how his 21 characters’ storylines “dovetail to an absorbing, empathetic story of a community in trouble”, the crisis this time caused by drugs, not the financial crash.
