An ‘old advisory,’ OTS says of photo circulating online on Naia security

“The OTS wishes to clarify that the photo containing a public advisory from the United States Department of Homeland Security noting the inadequate security at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, and circulating on social media, was an old advisory issued in December 2018, and has since been removed from airports in the US,” the OTS said in a statement.

It even explained that in August 2022, the US Transportation Security Administration commended the OTS and other Philippine airport authorities for maintaining adequate security measures during a joint security assessment.
