The trio of comedy talent were announced Tuesday morning as the hosts of the 94th Academy Awards, following a report in
on Monday that they were in final talks. “We want people to get ready to have a good time,” the three hosts, all doing the job for the first time, said in a joint statement. “It’s been a while.”and the team behind the Oscars were looking for three hosts to emcee the show rather than one person, and that the goal was to bring in talent that would be of interest to a variety of audiences. “This year’s show is all about uniting movie lovers,” Packer said in a press release.
