Residents of Northern Luzon may continue to experience cloudy skies with rains in the next 24-hour period due to the effects of the northeast monsoon, otherwise known as “amihan,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Friday, Feb. 24.
Parts of Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao may expect isolated rain showers on Friday due to localized thunderstorms. As defined by the state weather bureau, isolated rain showers are often caused by small rain-bearing clouds, which is why it only occurs to a “small part” of the forecasted area.
