Brazil, negara terbesar di rantau itu, adalah yang paling terjejas teruk setakat ini dengan lebih 8,500 kematian – lebih separuh daripada jumlah keseluruhan dan 125,000 kes. Krisis itu dilihat paling berbahaya di Mexico dengan 2,700 kematian menerusi hanya 27,600 kes, walaupun ia mungkin disebabkan oleh tahap ujian yang rendah.
Diukur sebagai sebahagian daripada populasi, Ecuador setakat ini paling teruk terjejas dengan 92 kematian per juta, 2 kali ganda berbanding Peru.
