A new poll revealed Americans' increasingly shifting views on foreign policy, with majorities believing the U.S. would be better off withdrawing from foreign affairs.
Americans also indicated it was important for U.S. foreign policy to focus on counteringChinese President Xi Jinping discussing the country's economic and social development at a political gathering in Beijing.Other issues respondents believed should be a focus of U.S. foreign policy included promoting freedom and democracy in authoritarian countries , pushing for nuclear disarmament , negotiating favorable trade deals for the U.S.
