A 58-year-old woman from Pennsylvania has died after she was bitten by a bull shark in the Bahamas.

A family of five, from the Lake Erie area of Pennsylvania, were on a snorkeling tour in the waters northwest of Rose Island when one of them -- a 58-year-old unnamed woman -- was attacked by a bull shark shortly before 3 p.m. local time, according to the Royal Bahamas Police Force. The woman and her family had arrived in the Bahamas on Tuesday morning via Royal Caribbean's cruise ship Harmony of the Seas, police said.
