The analyst reckons the second 5G network to be rolled out in early 2024, subject to DNB’s network CoPA reaching 80% by the end of 2023.
PETALING JAYA: AmBank Research expects the share subscription agreement in Digital Nasional Bhd and the new equity structure to be finalised and subscribed by the end of October 2023 to expedite 5G development rollouts across the country.
“Meanwhile, Entity B comprises Maxis Bhd and U Mobile Sdn Bhd who previously rejected DNB shareholding participation,” it said in a note. With fibre prices being lowered following the revision of mandatory standard access pricing , which regulates wholesale pricing for high-speed broadband, AmBank Research expects broadband prices of other telcos to follow suit after TM’s revisions on the reference access offer for wholesale charges and reduction in its own Unifi retail prices.
