, Jay speaks with comedian Amanda Seales. Formerly known as"Amanda Diva," she has worn many hats in entertainment: acting, singing, hosting, and stand-up.. But in 2019, she became the second Black woman to ever have her own comedy special on HBO,. And now she's back on the road, touring with her wildly popular variety game show,Amanda always tells it like it is, and this episode was no different.
So when you're a fair person and you demand fairness, people are offended by that. People are disrupted by that. And when you're a Black woman doing it, people feel disrespected by that. Because at the end of the day, whether they admit it or not, they don't think it's your place to make any demands.I will always tell people, like I am definitely a beneficiary of middle class privilege, of light skinned privilege. Some would say I get pretty privilege.
