Alvin ISD Education Foundation turtle race nets $160K, new fundraiser record
Submitted by Alvin ISDAlvin ISD Education Foundation's recent Turtle Race raised over $140,000, breaking a record for an annual fundraiser that sends truckloads of sponsored plastic turtles floating down Mustang Bayou.
“Our goal was just to have a good time and make it a success whatever that dollar amount was,” she said.
