Almost RM600 million lost to online scammers last year
Deputy Communications and Digital Minister Teo Nie Ching says the ministry is working with social media platform providers in promoting the ‘Stop For Three Second’ programme in an effort to combat cybercrime. – EPA pic, January 14, 2023.
She said one of the steps is to work with social media platform providers such as TikTok in promoting the “Stop For Three Second” programme, which will be launched next month. She said the hotline, which is still little known, is a government initiative to help victims of cybercrime to prevent losses.
